Types of massage:
  • Deep Tissue- Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.
  • Sports Massage- is specifically designed for people who are involved in physical activity. But you don't have to be a professional athlete to have one-it's also used by people who are active and work out often. The focus isn't on relaxation but on preventing and treating injury and enhancing athletic performance.
  • Deep/Sports Massage/Stretching- stretches are done in the beginning of the massage to evaluate tight muscles and relieve tension in the body. The muscles stretched are the hamstrings, quads, hips, glutes, back, chest and hands.
  • Swedish Massage- use long, smooth strokes, kneading and other movements focused on superficial layers of muscle using massage oil or lotion. 
  • Ashiatsu- is deep, compression, long strokes done with the massage therapist’s feet using the power of the legs and the weight of the body to impact the deeper muscle layers as well as more accessible surface tissues.
  • Prenatal- massage specifically deigned for pregnant women
